U.S. Marines with 9th Engineer Support Battalion, 3rd Marine Logistics Group and Japan Ground Self-Defense Force members with 15th Brigade, Western Army listen to the victory meal speech by Lt. Col. Christopher Thrasher, the commanding officer of 9th ESB, 3rd MLG during exercise Resolute Dragon 24 at Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan, Aug. 6, 2024. The victory meal was held to commemorate the ending of the exercise and build camaraderie through a shared meal. Resolute Dragon 24 is an annual bilateral exercise in Japan that strengthens the command, control, and multi-domain maneuver capabilities of U.S. Marines in III Marine Expeditionary Force and Japan Self-Defense Force personnel, with a focus on controlling and defending key maritime terrain.
