U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Madison Cook, a recovery noncommissioned officer assigned to a Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) recovery team, sets up a wet screen station during a DPAA recovery operation in the Lao People’s Democratic Republic (Lao PDR), July 25, 2024. Wet screening is where all soil is washed through wire mesh with high-pressure hoses to find any potential osseous material, life support equipment or material evidence.
