U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. Maxwell McCluskey, an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) short-term individual augmentee (STIA) attached to the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA), sets up a wet screen station during a DPAA recovery operation in the Lao People’s Democratic Republic (Lao PDR), July 25, 2024. Wet screening is where all soil is washed through wire mesh with high-pressure hoses to find any potential osseous material, life support equipment or material evidence.
