U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Hector Solis, a motor transportation operator with Combat Logistics Battalion 12 (CLB-12), Combat Logistics Regiment 3, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, teaches Japan Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF) members with 307 Transportation Company, Western Army, convoy procedures during exercise Resolute Dragon 24 at landing zone Dodo, Okinawa, Japan, August 1, 2024. CLB-12 and the JGSDF engaged in bilateral convoy operations to enhance interoperability and strengthen their collaborative readiness. RD 24 is an annual bilateral exercise in Japan that strengthens the command, control, and multi-domain maneuver capabilities of U.S. Marines in III Marine Expeditionary Force and Japan Self-Defense Force personnel, with a focus on controlling and defending key maritime terrain.
