U.S. Marines with Combat Logistics Battalion 12 (CLB-12), Combat Logistics Regiment 3, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, transport a simulated casualty onto a Medium Tactical Vehicle Replacement during exercise Resolute Dragon 24 at landing zone Dodo, Okinawa, Japan, August 1, 2024. CLB-12 and the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force engaged in bilateral convoy operations in order to enhance interoperability and strengthen their collaborative readiness. RD 24 is an annual bilateral exercise in Japan that strengthens the command, control, and multi-domain maneuver capabilities of U.S. Marines in III Marine Expeditionary Force and Japan Self-Defense Force personnel, with a focus on controlling and defending key maritime terrain.
