31st MEU conducts Mass Casualty Training Rehearsal

U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Madison Paddleford (left), a dispersing technician, and Lance Cpl. Aittiana Almazo, a landing support specialist, both with Combat Logistics Battalion 31, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, secure a simulated casualty onto a litter during a mass casualty training rehearsal aboard the amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6) in the Philippine Sea, Aug. 4, 2024. The training evolution allowed Marines and sailors to rehearse their responsiveness and coordination of a Marine Air-Ground Task Force to rescue and treat numerous casualties at once within an expeditionary advanced base of operations. The 31st MEU is operating aboard ships of the America Amphibious Ready Group in the 7th Fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region. Paddleford is a native of Texas and Almazo is a native of California. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl. Juan K. Maldonado)
