U.S. Marines with Combat Logistics Battalion 31, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, prepare to embark a U.S. Navy landing craft, air cushion during a combat support service area exercise at Kin Blue Beach Training Area, Okinawa, Japan, Aug. 1, 2024. The Marines and U.S. Navy Sailors worked together to enhance interoperability and strengthen ship-to-shore capabilities. The 31st MEU is operating aboard ships of the USS America Amphibious Ready Group in the 7th Fleet area of operations, the U.S. Navy’s largest forward-deployed numbered fleet, and routinely interacts and operates with allies and partners in preserving a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
