Craig Mattingly, Commander, Naval Service Training Command, right, and Capt. Kenneth Froberg, commanding officer of RTC, during a visit to RTC Aug. 1, 2024. Parker is responsible for the oversight of manpower and reserve component affairs of the Department of the Navy, including the full spectrum of policy and programs for active duty, reserve, and retired military, their families and the civilian workforce. During the visit to Great Lakes, Parker visited both RTC and NAVSTA Great Lakes. More than 40,000 recruits train annually at the Navy's only boot camp.
