NORFOLK, Va. (August 1, 2024) Vice Adm. John Gumbleton, commander, Task Force 80 and deputy commander, U.S. Fleet Forces Command (USFFC), listens to National Steel and Shipbuilding Company contractors during a fleet unit visit to Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS James E. Williams (DDG 95). Gumbleton spoke with Sailors about warfighting readiness and quality of service. USFFC is responsible for manning, training, equipping, and providing combat-ready forces forward to numbered fleets and combatant commanders around the globe.
