Service Members from U.S. Africa Command, in collaboration with the U.S. Embassy in Tanzania’s Office of Security Cooperation, presented an EKG machine and an ultrasound to ZanAid Clinic on July 23.
The equipment, funded by Spirit of America, will bolster the clinic’s unique capability in the region to address dive-related emergencies and enhance healthcare services in Zanzibar.
ZanAid, the sole facility with a hyperbaric chamber between South Africa and Egypt, will now better serve Tanzanians and the international diving community. The U.S. and Tanzania continue to strengthen ties through such impactful health initiatives.
