Marines from Marine Corps Forces Europe read a commemorative display at Pointe du Hoc, a significant battle sight during Operation Overlord, the Allied invasion of Nazi-occupied Europe in June 1944. Members from every staff section of MFE recently traveled Normandy to see and study many historic sights throughout the region as part of a six-month study of Operation Overlord.
