Combat medics assigned to the 256th Medical Company Area Support (MCAS), headquartered in Camp Blanding, Florida, conduct a nonemergency ambulance transfer at the troop medical center in Camp Shelby, Mississippi, July 20. Their patient is a sergeant who has suffered an ankle injury. They are four of almost 5,000 Florida Guard members mobilized to Camp Shelby, to support the Exportable Combat Training Capability exercise, a major training event that ensures the 53rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team’s readiness and proficiency to deploy.
