SHAH ALAM, Malaysia (July 18, 2024) – Intelligence Specialist 2nd Class Jose Taveras, from Miami, assigned to Commander, U.S. 7th Fleet, Information Systems Technician 2nd Class Esdras Andrade, from Jacksonville, Florida, and Information System Specialist 2nd Class Thomas Illiff from Charleston, South Carolina, both assigned 7th Fleet flagship USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19), help prepare meals during a soup kitchen community relations event to feed refugees and people in need during a port visit in Port Klang, Malaysia, July 18, 2024. As the 7th Fleet flagship, Blue Ridge is the oldest operational ship in the Navy and routinely operates with allies and partners in preserving a free and open Indo-Pacific.
