An Italian Air Force F-35 Lighting II pilot removes flight equipment after arriving at an undisclosed location within the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility, June 30, 2024. The ITAF stopped in CENTCOM as a part of Operation Indo-Pacific Jump (IPJ) 2024. IPJ is an opportunity for ITAF personnel to participate in multiple Indo-Pacific exercises including Pitch Black 2024 (PBK24) in Australia, and Rising Sun 2 in Japan, as well as to train with the Italian Navy in the open sea.
