U.S. Navy Hospital Corpsman 1st Class Trevor Williams, Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) independent duty corpsman, prepares a medical kit during a recovery mission in South Korea, May 30, 2024. As the recovery team independent duty corpsman, Williams ensures the well-being of each team member is taken into account, as well as treats any medical conditions that occur during the mission. These conditions range from common injuries, such as cuts, scrapes, and colds, to more serious injuries where he will serve as a first responder and provide ongoing care.
