A Japan Ground Self-Defense Force service member with Fire Leading Company, Field Artillery Battalion, Amphibious Rapid Deployment Brigade, conducts a 9-line close air support (CAS) brief during an urban CAS event at JGSDF Camp Yufuin, Oita, Japan, June 6, 2024. The urban CAS event was part of a subject matter expert exchange between 5th Air Naval Gunfire Liaison Company, III Marine Expeditionary Force Information Group, and ARDB. The subject matter exchange provided 5th ANGLICO Marines and ARDB service members the opportunity to exchange knowledge, tactics, and expertise regarding the coordination and integration of fires and close air support.
