165th Repatriation Ceremony conducted by DPAA 24-3VN

Members of the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) and officials from the Vietnam Office for Seeking Missing Persons pose for a photo during a repatriation ceremony in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, June 26, 2024. The ceremony marked the end of the joint field activity and this iteration’s efforts to recover unaccounted-for personnel from the Vietnam War. During the ceremony, team members and Socialist Republic of Vietnam officials transferred possible osseous material and material to DPAA for potential identification at the DPAA laboratory on Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii. There are approximately 1,576 service members missing from the Vietnam War. (U.S. Army photo by Sgt. Anthony Todd)
