The 148th Fighter Wing and 133rd Airlift Wing, Minnesota Air National Guard, collaborated during a 133rd Airlift Wing readiness exercise "Operation Mobility Gryphon" at Volk Field Combat Readiness Training Center, Wis., June 26, 2024. F-16 Fighting Falcons from the 148th were refueled while the engines continued to run before tactically departing for a simulated fight. This was performed rapidly to demonstrate capabilities of the Mobility Air Force (MAF) and Combat Air Force (CAF) when working together towards a common objective of winning a fight in a contested environment.
