Members of a Marine Corps Base Hawaii Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron 153 funeral detail set the casket of U.S. Marine Corps 1st Lt. Hugh Fricks on a casket carrier during an interment ceremony at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Honolulu, Hawaii, June 25, 2024. Personnel with the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency and attending family members paid their respects and honored the life of Fricks, who was a member of the U.S. Marine Corps and assigned to Company D, 1st Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, and served in the Battle of Tarawa during World War II.
