Col. Kevin Cotman, and Command Sgt. Maj. Dawadrain Clark, the commander and senior non-commissioned officer of the 593rd Expeditionary Sustainment Command, observe 593d ESC Soldiers leading Rapid Removal of Excess turn-in operations for all units across the installation, June 24, 2024, Joint Base Lewis McChord. The Army-Wide initiative directed by Army Materiel Command aims to unburden Soldiers by removing excess materiel in advance of new equipment fielding, giving them more time to focus on training rather than maintenance on obsolete equipment. Cotman and Clark visited the Modernization Displacement and Repair Site of the JBLM consolidated Call Forward Area where units across the installation are bringing equipment for turn-in.
