U.S. Marines with Recruiting Station Sacramento participate in an appointment ceremony in Citrus Heights, Calif., June 14, 2024. During the ceremony, Sgt. Maj. Mike R. Gonzalez Jr. was appointed the sergeant major of RS Sacramento. The ceremony serves as the official changeover between sergeants major, honoring the outgoing sergeant major's contributions, while offering the opportunity for the incoming sergeant major to introduce himself to the Marines now under his charge.
