U.S. Army U.S. Army Command Sgt. Maj. Brian Morrison, right, the command sergeant major of the 8th Theater Sustainment Command, talks to U.S. Army 1st Lt. Ryan Thistlewood, center, the Civil Action Team Palau officer in charge, and Sgt. 1st Class Shalli Mar Lloren, the Civil Action Team Palau assistant officer in charge, while on a boat from Koror to Peleliu, Palau, June 7, 2024. Morrison visited the team to better understand their capabilities and mission in the Indo-Pacific. The civil action team has 6 major roles: community construction program, medical relationship program, community relation program, camp maintenance program, monument maintenance program and apprenticeship program. On this day, the team boated from Koror to Peleliu to maintain a U.S. WWII monument dedicated to the Army's 81st Infantry Regiment, which relieved the 1st Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, Oct. 15, 1944.
