Tech Sgt. Joshua Albarracin and Airman 1st Class Jacob Redner, 920th Maintenance Squadron aircraft structural maintenance mechanics, performs a coin tap test on the blades of an HH-60G Pave Hawk helicopter during a 600-hour phase inspection at Patrick Space Force Base, Florida, May 16, 2024. A coin tap test is conducted to identify loose, damaged or delaminated fiber in a blade by tapping its surface with a small object such as a coin or small hammer and analyzing the resulting sound. This method allows mechanics to detect inconsistencies or defects in the material and structure of the blade. (U.S. Air Force photo by Tech. Sgt. Darius Sostre-Miroir)
