U.S. Marines with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 365 (Reinforced) and Maritime Special Purpose Force, 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit Special Operations Capable, demonstrate fast-rope procedures from a MV-22B Osprey tiltrotor aircraft with French Special Forces personnel aboard a French Mistral-class amphibious assault ship FS Mistral (L9013) during Baltic Operations (BALTOPS) 24, June 13, 2024. BALTOPS 24 is the premier maritime-focused exercise in the Baltic region. The exercise, led by U.S. Naval forces Europe-Africa and executed by Naval Striking and Support Forces NATO, provides a unique training opportunity to strengthen combined response capabilities critical to preserving freedom of navigation and security in the Baltic Sea.
