U.S. Army Reserve Soldiers are being taught how to open and use a litter while conducting litter evacuation training as part of a “Combat Lifesaver Course” at the MSCT on the Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J., 12 June 2024. The course is the bridge between the basic lifesaving skills that Soldiers receive during basic training and the more intensive training taught to combat medics. The course is designed around the three stages of Tactical Combat Casualty Care: Care Under Fire, Tactical Field Care, and Casualty Evacuation Care.
