Sgt. Jackson A. Coffey, a 11B Infantryman representing the 11th Airborne Division assigned to the 3-509th Parachute Infantry Regiment, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, based out of Alaska, dry fires a Javelin shoulder-fired anti-tank missile during the squad lanes for the 2024 U.S. Army Pacific Best Squad Competition. The 2024 U.S. Army Pacific Best Squad Competition consists of multiple 5-Soldier squads from USARPAC units competing for the opportunity to represent USARPAC at the Department of the Army’s competition. The non-commissioned officers and junior enlisted will be assessed together in their ability to execute warrior tasks and battle drills, marksmanship and land navigation, and will be challenged to complete a mission as a squad.
