XVIII Airborne Corps Staff Members conduct a staff ride through Omaha Beach and Pointe du Hoc, led by Col. (R) Keith Nightingale on June 7, 2024. Pointe du Hoc is the famous site where U.S. Army Rangers scaled the 110-foot cliff in order to destroy German machine gun nests during the D-Day landings of June 6, 1944.
