Rangers from the 75th Ranger Regiment collect their parachutes following a static line jump above Sainte-Mere-Eglise, France in a commemorative jump involving re-enactors and service members from multiple NATO Allies as over 1,300 service members jumped as part of D-Day 80 festivities June 9, 2024. Commemorative events such as these serve to honor the sacrifices U.S. service members made 80 years ago in securing peace and security, and inspiring future generations to value a collective vision of global peace.
