U.S. Army Soldiers assigned to 59th Aviation Troop Command (59th ATC), South Carolina Army National Guard, host the annual Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, ESGR, “Boss Lift” at the South Carolina National Guard Army Aviation Support Facility (location 1), AASF1, McEntire Joint National Guard Base, S.C., June 6, 2024. The event offered an opportunity for civilian employers of South Carolina Army National Guard Soldiers to see and experience some aspects of their employees’ lives as members of the South Carolina Army National Guard. Aircrews and maintenance personnel from AASF2 showcased some of 59th ATC’s equipment and capabilities, like the AH-64E Apache helicopter, the UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter, night vision, and survival equipment. Attending ESGR personnel and civilian employers were also taken for a familiarization flight around the Columbia and Fort Jackson general areas, aboard a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter.
