U.S. Navy Lt. Paul Boyer, a Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency short term individual augmentee physician assistant, wet screens during a DPAA recovery operation in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, May 26, 2024. When dictated by environmental or soil conditions, wet screening techniques are employed. Here, soil is washed through wire mesh using high-pressure hoses. Initial analysis of findings takes place on-site, followed by further examination in the laboratory. There are approximately 1,576 personnel still unaccounted-for in Vietnam. (U.S. Army photo by Sgt.
