U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Leonardo J. Alegria, recovery non-commissioned officer and short term individual augment (STIA), Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA), wet screens and inspects material during recovery operations in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, May 29, 2024. U.S. service members and personnel from Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 36, Air Force Global Strike Command, U.S. Navy USS Nimitz (CVN 68), Navy Medicine and Readiness Training Command New England, Expeditionary Medical Facility 150 Bravo, U.S. Air Force 914th Civil Engineer Squadron, 919th Special Operations Support Squadron, DPAA, local Vietnamese workers and the Vietnam Office of Seeking Missing Persons, combined their efforts and knowledge to conduct recovery operations in central Vietnam.
