St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, May 22, 2024 -- Leon Lewis, Warehouse Manager and General Supply Specialist; George Hamilton, Logistics Facilities Lead; and Chris Brant, Region 2 Information Technology Specialist, help set up the Western Shelter in preparation for the following day's U.S. Virgin Islands Readiness Initiative Capstone exercise. FEMA integrated with other federal and territorial agencies at the Virgin Islands Territorial Emergency Management Agency's three Emergency Operations Centers across the territory in the Operational Integration exercise May 23. The goal of the exercise was to continue partnering with VITEMA to strengthen the territory's preparedness, response and recovery capabilities.
