Jacob Babcanec, a soldier assigned to Bayne-Jones Army Hospital at Fort Johnson, Louisiana, performs the 10-meter sprint portion of the German Basic Fitness Test during the Best of the Best Competition on Fort Sam Houston, Tx, May 13, 2024. Both Medical Readiness Command, West and the U.S. Army Medical Center of Excellence host a joint week-long competition at Fort Sam Houston and Camp Bullis, giving the soldiers the ability to qualify for the Expert Field Medical Badge and the German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge.
