U.S. Marine Corps explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) technicians with EOD Company, 9th Engineer Support Battalion, 3rd Marine Logistics Group (MLG), U.S. Navy Sailors with EOD Group One, Japanese Amphibious Rapid Deployment Brigade (ARDB), and the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF), operate combat rubber raiding crafts during Beach Crab 24 at Kin Blue Beach Training Area, Okinawa, Japan, March 5, 2024. Beach Crab 24 is a bilateral exercise between EOD technicians and service members with 3rd MLG, U.S. Navy EOD Group One, Japanese ARDB, and JMSDF. The exercise continued developing tactics, techniques, and procedures in an effort to locate, mark, and neutralize underwater and surface explosive hazards with a focus on detect-to-engage within maritime environments from sea, through littoral transition points, and onward from a beach landing site.
