Paratroopers of the 173rd Airborne Brigade teamed up with the Swedish Army for intense urban terrain training in Sweden on May 8, 2024. They practiced room-clearing procedures and coordination, learning the best positions for fire team members and how to cover different sectors effectively. This training occurred at Sweden’s MOUT facility, one of the world's most sophisticated training sites.
The 173rd Airborne Brigade is the U.S. Army's Contingency Response Force in Europe, providing rapidly deployable forces to the United States European, African, and Central Command areas of responsibility. Forward deployed across Italy and Germany, the brigade routinely trains alongside NATO allies and partners to build partnerships and strengthen the alliance.
