A Craven County sixth grader enjoys a flight simulator during the Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point Air Show STEM Day, with assistance from Natalie Folsom, right, an engineer with the Naval Air System Command VH-92 Fleet Support Team at Fleet Readiness Center East. The Air Show STEM Day, held May 10, was the a first-time event organized by FRCE’s STEM Outreach Team in support of MCAS Cherry Point and Marine Corps Community Services Cherry Point. Approximately 1,000 Craven County sixth graders attended the event, which featured more than 30 interactive stations providing activities rooted in science, technology, engineering and math.
