Brig. Gen. Dean Thompson, the commander of the 353rd Civil Affairs Command, escorts the granddaughter and great grandson of one of his predecessors - Col. Frank Toscani at the JFK Special Warfare Center and School. Col. Toscani was the commander of the 353rd CACOM from 1960 to 1966. On April 26, 2024 he was inducted as a distinguished member of the Civil Affairs Regiment. Since Toscani passed away in 2001, his granddaughter (Anita Good) and great grandson (Ryan Good) accepted the certificate on his behalf.
