GULF OF THAILAND (April 24, 2024) U.S. Navy Quartermaster Seaman Recruit Neri Galvan, from Pomona, Calif., takes a bearing on watch on the bridge wing aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Russell (DDG 59) as the ship transits into Thailand, April 24, 2024. Russell is in Thailand for a scheduled port visit, supporting operational readiness and regional alliances. Russell is assigned to Carrier Strike Group 9 and currently conducting routine operations in U.S. 7th Fleet in support of a free and open Indo-Pacific.
