VIRGINIA BEACH, VA (April 25, 2024) Sailors assigned to the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS George H.W. Bush (CVN 77) shovel gravel into a gator to be used to improve Woodstock Parks walkways, during a community relations event. In honor of the ship’s namesake, George H.W. Bush’s crew continues his initiative of service to the community through their very own ‘Thousand Points of Light’ community service program. Sailors from Bush worked with 41 organizations across 77 locations in the Hampton Roads area during their ship-wide day of service.
