NORFOLK, VA (April 25, 2024) Senior Chief Intelligence Specialist Jessica Featherall, assigned to Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS George H.W. Bush (CVN 77), completes inventory for REACH Inc. during a community relations event. In honor of the ship’s namesake, George H.W. Bush’s crew continues his initiative of service to the community through their very own ‘Thousand Points of Light’ community service program. Sailors from Bush worked with 41 organizations across 77 locations in the Hampton Roads area during their ship-wide day of service. Reach Inc. supports children throughout Coastal Virginia with literacy enrichment resources and programs. In 2023 REACH distributed over 81,000 books valued at more than $700,000.
