Staff Sgt. Jacob Brundage, an allied trade specialist assigned to Task Force Black Scorpion, 2-363rd Training Support Battalion, 5th Armored Brigade, uses binoculars to find a landmark during a call/adjust for fire assessment during the 5th Armored Brigade Best Observer Coach/Trainer competition at McGregor Range Complex, N.M., April 25, 2024.

The 5th AR BDE Best OC/T Competition tested both officer and enlisted OC/Ts in a series of physically demanding and mentally challenging events testing each person's basic fundamentals through healthy competition. The winners of this event will advance and go on to the First Army Division West Competition in June and ultimately vie for top honors at the First Army Competition in August. First Army OC/Ts are experts in training, advising, and coaching to deliver trained and ready formations to the entire U.S. Army Enterprise.
