Operation Eagle Claw veterans are recognized during the 44th anniversary ceremony of Operation Eagle Claw at the air park on Hurlburt Field, Fla., Apr. 24, 2024. The memorial was held in honor of the five Air Commandos and three Marines who perished in a fatal mishap during Operation Eagle Claw in 1980 during an attempt to free American hostages in Iran.
