Senior leaders of the Illinois Army and Air National Guard attend the 55th Annual National Guard Association of Illinois Conference in Downers Grove, Illinois, April 20, 2024. The conference was hosted by the 33d Infantry Brigade Combat Team and highlights accomplishments and future prospects for the Illinois National Guard.
The mission of NGAI is to turn ideas into legislative action, working for the benefit of Illinois National Guardsmen and women. They promote a variety of soldiers' needs such as readiness, care, education and insurance.
Members of the National Guard Association of the United States were also in attendance and spoke to the senior leaders about what they are doing to advocate for the Illinois National Guard. The mission of NGAUS is to maintain the freedom and security of this nation by guaranteeing a strong national defense through the provision of a vital, dynamic National Guard as a part of the Total Force.
