U.S. Air Force Lt. Olivia Pease and Senior Airman Charlie Stenlund, staff weather officers assigned to Detachment 2, 1st Combat Weather Squadron, Pacific Air Forces, conduct a weather-meteorology subject matter expert exchange with the Philippine Army’s Aviation Regiment during Salaknib 24 at Fort Magsaysay, Philippines, April 11, 2024. The exchange familiarized participants with the TMQ-53 Tactical Meteorological Observing System (TMOS) and other weather equipment. Salaknib is an annual exercise between the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the U.S. Military designed to strengthen bilateral interoperability, capabilities, trust, and cooperation built over decades of shared experiences.
