SUFFOLK, Virginia – (April 12, 2024) Sailors assigned to pre-commissioning unit John F. Kennedy (CVN 79) picks up trash during the Clean Up Suffolk event in Suffolk, Virginia. Partnering with the City of Suffolk, John F. Kennedy Sailors cleaned up roads in the southwest Suffolk community. John F. Kennedy is the second Ford-class aircraft carrier and is under construction at HII’s Newport News Shipbuilding (NNS) division in Newport News, Virginia.
