ANNAPOLIS, Md. (Apr. 11, 2024) Panelists Dr. Heidi Urben, Col. John Childress, and Ms. Emily Harding discuss the “21st Century Challenges: Civil-Military Relations in the Modern Age.” moderated by Midshipman 1st class Max Bueno, NAFAC Director of Technology, during the Naval Academy Foreign Affairs Conference (NAFAC). Established in 1960, the NAFAC brings together more than 150 undergraduate students from the United States and over a dozen foreign countries for three days of critical discussions, lectures, informal exchanges, and social events. As the undergraduate college of our country’s naval service, the Naval Academy prepares young men and women to become professional officers of competence, character, and compassion in the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps.
