NATIONAL HARBOR, Md. (April 10, 2024) Chief of Naval Personnel Vice Adm. Rick Cheeseman answers a question during the “Workforce Modernization and Retention” panel discussion at the 2024 Sea-Air-Space Exposition. Other panel members were: U.S. Coast Guard Vice Adm. Paul Thomas, Coast Guard deputy commandant for Mission Support; Shashi Kumar, deputy associate administrator for the U.S. Maritime Association’s National Coordinator for Maritime Education and Training; and Juan Garcia, managing director of Deloitte. The Sea-Air-Space Exposition is an annual event that brings together key military decision makers, the U.S. defense industrial base and private-sector U.S. companies for an innovative and educational maritime based event.
