Lt. Gen. Alex Grynkewich, Ninth Air Force (Air Forces Central) commander, parks an F-16 Fighting Falcon after completing his final flight as the AFCENT commander, April 9, 2024, at Shaw Air Force Base, S.C. The fini-flight is an Air Force tradition marking pilots’ departure from a unit, or the last time they fly an aircraft. As the AFCENT commander, Grynkewich is responsible for maintaining and fielding combat-ready forces in the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility. (U.S. Air Force photo by Tech. Sgt.
