SGT Kayleigh Loyd, U.S. Army Health Clinic Stuttgart, practices the high-crawl as a part of Warrior Tasks and Battle Drills during a ruck march on Camp Aachen, Grafenwoehr, Germany, April 8, 2024. The ruck march is a part of the Leader Validation Exercise hosted by U.S. Army Medical Activity Department-Bavaria.

The ruck march was the final physical event for the soldiers before the NCO Induction Ceremony. The route was four miles long and included Warrior Tasks and Battle Drills at every mile marker. The stations included performing functions check on an M-4, moving under direct fire, voice communications, and hemorrhage control.

The purpose of the exercise is to help new noncommissioned officers understand their responsibilities as Soldiers and medical personnel. This took place over four days and included soldiers from Army Health Clinics in Ansbach, Grafenwoehr, Hohenfels, Stuttgart, Vilseck, and Headquarters. The exercise ended with an NCO Induction Ceremony on Tower Barracks to welcome NCOs to the Corps. (U.S. Army photo by Sgt. Emma Roberts)
