Corpo de Fuzileiros Navais (Brazilian Marine Corps) recruits receive drill commands during basic training at Centro de Instrução Almirante Milcíades Portela Alves, Brazil, on April 4, 2024. Tough recruit training is essential to maintaining the effectiveness and preparedness of the Brazilian Marine Corps. Leaders from Marine Forces, South and Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego visited their Fuzileiros Navais counterparts during a Recruit Training Subject Matter Expert Exchange to enhance the training frameworks and leadership skills necessary for the successful integration of female recruits into the Brazilian Marine Corps. Additionally, the exchange fosters a bilateral partnership, enabling both nations to share best practices and innovations in military training and operational readiness.
